Faecal Contamination Control
Adept is the leader in faecal contamination control systems. Faecal contamination during protein processing is a common cause of wasted product and can be a potential food safety risk. Adept have developed a water soluble faecal plug for the Porcine processing industry to help prevent this contamination.
Plugging the Anus
Early intervention to limit any faecal contamination is critical to hygienic animal processing and Adept’s anal plugs provide secure and reliable control.
Plugs (1) are easily inserted using Adept’s purpose designed plug pusher tool (2), preventing faecal leakage and potential contamination at high stress points such as the dehairing tumbler or during evisceration.
