Adept Contamination Control is a division of Adept Limited which has been at the forefront of plastic processing technology in New Zealand for more than 40 years. We specialise in creating systems that eliminate the pathological contamination of meat during animal processing. Our products are effective, easy to use and of the highest quality. Adept has become the first choice of abattoirs both large and small around the world.
Managing Director Murray Fenton started Adept in 1969, working from his garage with a home-made moulding machine. The Adept Beef Clip was developed soon after and is now distributed across the world and has sold a billion units, setting the international standard in meat processing.
We continue to lead the market through continuous innovation and a thorough understanding of the industry’s processes and challenges. Our natural curiosity and close engagement with industries means we can work with you to create unique solutions to your processing issues, taking an idea from research to design, to engineering, tooling, manufacture and delivery.
Adept’s capabilities have also enabled other New Zealand companies to take on the world. Our superior medical production facilities have produced the components that have supported Fisher and Paykel's international growth. Our product development and manufacturing services have also enabled Cadmus Ltd to develop their successful 'EFTPOS' terminals and helped Masport Ltd develop their range of lawnmowers. Philanthropically, Adept Ltd designed the Intraocular lens case for the 'Fred Hollows Foundation', restoring sight to millions of the worlds underprivileged.
